You have probably heard many people say they should invest more time and effort to learn to use the
R software environment for statistical computing… and they were right. However, what they probably meant to say is: “I tried it, but it’s so damned complicated, I gave up”… and they were right. That is, they were right to note that this is not a point and click tool designed to accommodate any user. It was built for the niche market of scientists who use statistics, but in that segment it’s actually the most useful tool I have encountered so far.
